  • DESCRIPTION

Project goal was to design a footbridge with a view tower, located in the marshlands on the outskirts of Ljubljana.

The bridge creates a crossing of the highway and allows for a much needed pedestrian communication, whereas the tower provides with a view over vastly spanning plains of historically rich Ljubljana marshland, full of archaeological sights.

The bridge follows the construction principle of a sailboat, consisting of a rigid vessel underneath and a rotating joint that holds the mast rising straight up. In this case, the element of sail is replaced with a number of view platforms.
